Dutch PHP Conference
Ibuildings is proud to organize the twelfth Dutch PHP Conference on June 8th and 9th, plus a pre-conference tutorial day on June 7. Both programs will be completely in English so the only Dutch thing about it is the location. Keywords for these days: Know-how, Technology, Best Practices, Networking, Tips & Tricks.
The target audience for this conference are PHP and Mobile Web Developers of all levels, software architects, and even managers. Beginners will find many talks aimed at helping them become better developers, while more experienced developers will come away inspired to do even better and with knowledge about the latest tools and methodologies.
The DPC18 venue is, like last year, the Amsterdam RAI in Amsterdam.
1078 GZ Amsterdam
There is a great map of the RAI here and get directions to get to the RAI.
On tutorial days, please follow signs for entrance G. For the main conference, look for Entrance E. You will find the registration directly at the entrance.
Sponsoring the Dutch PHP conference means over 600 web developers in one place with the possibility to engage them personally. Last year we had over 600 participants at DPC, and the feedback provided shows that again we have delivered a high quality conference which will draw even more developers in this year. Although we have the standard sponsor packages for sponsors that just want to support the Dutch PHP Conference, we try to tailor the sponsoring agreements to the needs of the sponsor. We understand that sponsors want a valid return on investment and try to facilitate that as much as possible. If you are interested in sponsoring, please visit the sponsoring page.
The DPC Scholarship Fund
We are excited to announce a scholarship program for the conference: The DPC Scholarship Fund.
The DPC scholarship fund is sponsoring tickets for the DPC conference to members of underrepresented groups with the purpose of encouraging them to join this tech community. The DPC Scholarship Fund is working together with PHPDiversity, an independent non-profit organization that works to promote diversity within the worldwide PHP community.
Code of Conduct
At DPC we never had a Code of Conduct before. Why not? Because we assumed that a gathering of intelligent people did not need one. We assumed everyone knows that you’re not allowed to discriminate or sexually harass anyone or act inappropriatly in any other way. And we still think everyone does. But knowing and acting accordingly seem to be different things. Recently it’s brought to our attention that bad things do happen at conferences around the world. We sincerely hope that nothing has happened at previous editions of DPC, but to make clear we do not tolerate any inappropriate behaviour, we introduced a Code of Conduct at DPC. All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our conference are required to agree with this code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. We are expecting cooperation from all participants to help ensuring a safe environment for everybody. Thank you.
Ibuildings was established in 1999 with the goal of specializing in the development of websites and web applications. The company began with an emphasis on PHP technology and later expanded to other areas surrounding this ecosystem. Through this focus we have built up a wealth of knowledge and experience, enabling us to attract some of the best developers in the field. Ibuildings also supports the community by sponsoring external events and organizing the Dutch PHP Conference. This year is the eleventh Dutch PHP Conference and we still are excited and proud to organize this event with our dedicated conference crew.
