Unconference

23 May 2018

Just like last years there will be an unconference again! The “Uncon” is an informal track running alongside the main conference, and is meant to give everybody attending an opportunity to speak.

If you've been thinking about speaking but never really gave it a try, didn't get your talk proposals accepted at a conference yet or if you simply have a great idea, tool or concept that you want to share with the world, this is your chance! No selection procedures and no experience required. First-come, first-served. And to sweeten the deal some more: the best Uncon speaker will be awarded a guaranteed speaker-slot at the main conference in 2019!

This year, PHPDiversity and PHPWomen are providing your Uncon hosts. Mark Baker and Lineke Kerckhoffs-Willems will be around with a flip chart with the schedule. Have a look at the flip chart during the breaks or when changing rooms to see if there are sessions you’d want to see and come join us! Last years have proven that the content at the unconference often can be just as interesting as the presentations in the main tracks. The unconference talks will also be announced on the conference website and joind.in.

Uncon talks should take up to either 15, 30 or 45 minutes. To speak simply find Mark or Lineke on the day itself, and as long as there's room they'll be happy to put you on the schedule.

We’re hoping to see you all at the Uncon!
